Use Cases

Car sharing (or car clubs) is a fast-growing and integral part of a city mobility plan. As part of a MaaS strategy users will will incorporate car sharing into their journeys, and understanding how their habits (pick-up and drop-off points) fit with other travel mode options is key.

This map shows the number of car pick-ups per area as derived from the GPS tracking logs of the vehicles. The area of the city has been divided in areas of approximately 500 x 500 meters. This approach allows you to quantify the geographical distribution of the actual use of the service and is a useful element also to analyse the service demand.
